Desperate search launched after boy, 14, goes missing while swimming off the New Jersey coast

A desperate search is underway after a 14-year-old special needs boy from Philadelphia disappeared while swimming off Wildwood, New Jersey, during a school trip. The incident occurred near Schellenger Avenue by Morey’s Pier as emergency crews responded around 1:30 p.m. Three swimmers were rescued; one was hospitalized in stable condition, another treated on site, while Davoris Carter did not surface and is considered missing.
