Fashion group says cyber incident may put customer information at risk
A cyber incident linked to TFG London, the U.K. arm of The Foschini Group, has disrupted some website functions for retailers including Phase Eight, Hobbs, and Whistles, the BBC reported. The retailers’ online features were unavailable after TFG identified an issue affecting parts of its IT systems, while stores continued operating normally. TFG told BBC News it is actively investigating and working with external cybersecurity specialists. According to BBC reporting, the company does not believe customer payment information was affected, but it is still checking whether any sensitive customer-related data was impacted. The company said it would contact customers if personal information is found to be involved, and it advised customers to stay vigilant for suspicious messages as the review continues.
