Feminist orgs claim Meta censoring posts about Cornell 7 case
A coalition of feminist and tech-justice organizations says Meta is censoring or limiting posts about the Cornell “7 case” after a civil lawsuit accused seven Chi Phi fraternity members of drugging and raping “Jane Doe.” The dispute has sparked online activity, including Florence Pugh posting in support of Jane Doe and an “I am Jane Doe” campaign. According to the coalition, Pugh received a “sensitive-content” warning on Instagram, and Meta later told TMZ it lifted the label on the original post. The group claims a second post was also labeled and that users face censorship, labeling, or shadowbans across Instagram, Facebook, and Threads. A petition to Mark Zuckerberg and Adam Mosseri reported over 29,000 signatures, alongside calls to report posts, though the text ends mid-sentence.
