Ferrari appeals to traditionalists with new V12 manual gearbox limited edition

Ferrari is expanding its V12 legacy with the 12Cilindri Manuale, a limited-edition 12-cylinder model with a manual gearbox, launched in Milan on July 3. The special series, based on the 2024 12Cilindri, uses a new “Manuale by-wire” system to deliver a gear stick driving experience while retaining benefits of dual-clutch transmissions. Production is capped at 1,499 units for a front-engined grand tourer aimed at traditional Ferrari customers. Power comes from a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 producing 830 horsepower with a three-pedal layout. In Italy, pricing starts from €590,000 ($672,000), with first deliveries scheduled for the first quarter of next year. The move follows criticism of Ferrari’s first fully electric model, the Luce, priced at €550,000.
