Ferrari boss Vasseur explains why he still disagrees with Red Bull 'team to beat' tag

Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur rejected the idea that Red Bull are simply “the team to beat” in Formula 1, despite Max Verstappen’s recent wins in Sepang and Singapore. Red Bull have returned to form in recent races, with Verstappen dominating the last two events and finishing on the podium eight times in the past ten. In Singapore, Ferrari were the closest challengers, with Charles Leclerc second, seven seconds behind the Dutch driver. Vasseur said the competitive order has shifted repeatedly across the season, noting that Mercedes and McLaren have also alternated at the front. He added that upgrades could change everything next week, stressing Ferrari should focus on its own development.
