Giant Mr Doodle sculptures appear across West End
xCruzo Brief
Six giant doodle sculptures by artist Mr Doodle have appeared across London’s West End as part of a new free public art trail during the school summer holidays. The installations, 2m (6.5ft) tall, are placed in Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and St James’s Market, running until 30 August. The real name of the artist is Sam Cox, who is known for transforming sketchbooks and even buildings with his distinctive black-and-white style, often with pops of colour. Each sculpture is covered in doodles inspired by local surroundings. Visitors can scan QR codes for a digital map and prize draw, including Royal Academy Summer Exhibition tickets and a free meal for four.
