Gus Lamont's parents make emotional plea as $1m reward offered for information about disappearance

The parents of missing four-year-old Gus Lamont renewed their plea for information as authorities offered a $1 million reward over his disappearance from their sheep farm in South Australia. Gus vanished on 27 September last year; no trace has been found since. In a Wednesday video message, Joshua Lamont and Jessica Murray described Gus as a “unique little boy” who loved music, stories and the natural world, and said the lack of answers has been devastating. South Australian police said extensive searches, including 11 ground efforts and additional aerial reviews, have turned up no useful clues, though “anomalies” in images may prompt further checking. Police previously declared the case a major crime in February and investigated a person in his household.
