IndiGo Ventures backs sovereign AI firm Sarvam in Series B funding round

IndiGo Ventures has invested in Sarvam AI as part of Sarvam’s Series B funding round, backing India-based “full-stack” sovereign AI technology. The corporate venture arm of IndiGo said the investment builds on prior collaboration between the two companies to deploy AI aimed at improving passenger experience, supporting airline staff, and streamlining operational workflows across IndiGo’s network. IndiGo framed the move as a way to accelerate internal adoption of technology and boost operational efficiency by combining its scale with Sarvam’s AI stack, including voice and agentic systems. Sarvam provides enterprise AI products with native training and inference infrastructure, covering voice, text, computer vision, and document processing for high-volume deployments. The partnership targets connecting Sarvam models and agentic infrastructure directly to live airline operations.
