Inside Cambodian lecture halls, AI is quietly rewriting how teaching gets
xCruzo Brief
A new survey of 150 university lecturers across Cambodia finds that AI is already woven into day-to-day teaching, not just discussed in theory. Published in Discover Artificial Intelligence by Kimkong Heng, Sarin Sok, Koemhong Sol and Ratha Sor, the study reports strong uptake of practical tools: Google Translate (70.7%), Grammarly (66%) and ChatGPT (62%) top the list, while only 7.3% of lecturers said they never used AI for teaching or learning. Nearly 60% used AI to create materials and about 40% to develop syllabi. Lecturers generally view AI positively, with a mean score of 3.69/5, yet they also express concerns about what AI could undermine in education.
