Iranian hackers 'shut down British power plant' in cyber attack

Authorities did not name the facility, but it was described as relatively small and the outage did not create significant impact on the country’s energy supplies or wider grid risk. The government briefed chief executives of power companies and issued guidance. Investigators are now looking at the breach. The incident is also reported to have coincided with US attacks on water infrastructure across more than a dozen states last month.
