It's Good to Have Some Hate': Silverfield Speaks Out on Mizzou and AD Who Hired Him

Ahead of a Halloween weekend clash with No. 23 Missouri, Arkansas coach Ryan Silverfield tried to keep his team focused on improvement rather than rivalry noise. After a bye-week press conference where he called the opponent “nameless, faceless,” Silverfield later described how fans’ intensity can fuel preparation. He referenced Arkansas’s tradition of rivalry while downplaying “recent failures” as having no impact on moving forward, framing the game as “the next game.” Still, he acknowledged the emotional power of “some hate,” saying he likes that mindset because it keeps fans engaged. Earlier, Razorbacks center Caden Kitler told 103.7 The Buzz he “hate[s] Missouri” and sees it as the biggest rival.
