Jerome Myles Exit Leaves Clear Path For This Young Texas A&M WR To Play Early

Texas A&M’s 2026 roster took a hit when former five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles left College Station for “personal reasons,” a move announced by head coach Mike Elko last Thursday. Myles spent one season in the program, and had to sit out his freshman year due to injury. While the departure reduces depth in the wide receiver room, it opens a path for a freshman to play earlier. With returning rotation leaders Mario Craver and transfer Isaiah Horton, plus Ashton Bethel-Roman and Terry Bussey behind them, Aaron Gregory is positioned as the fifth receiver in the rotation. Offensive coordinator Holmon Wiggins said the true freshman can “stop and start,” catch the ball, and play multiple positions, helping his chances to see field time.
