Leclerc claims following Verstappen's footsteps at Ferrari would be a 'mistake'

Charles Leclerc said it would be a “mistake” for him and Ferrari to try to replicate Max Verstappen’s path at Red Bull, adding that he wants to focus on his own situation as Ferrari searches for its first title with the Scuderia. Speaking ahead of and after developments at the Dutch GP in Zandvoort, Leclerc referenced Verstappen’s four championships, but argued that every team and context is different. Ferrari sit behind Constructors leaders Mercedes by 87 points following the latest round. In the drivers’ standings, Leclerc is P5, 28 points behind teammate Lewis Hamilton, while Kimi Antonelli is P3, 59 points ahead of him.
