Monaco could sell Pogba after playing just 115 MINUTES in debut season
Monaco says Paul Pogba could be sold after a difficult 2025-26 debut season in which he played only 115 minutes. The 33-year-old joined the Ligue 1 club last June on a two-year deal after his original four-year doping ban was reduced to 18 months. According to the report, Pogba made six appearances total, started once, and struggled with injuries; he had also hoped to make France’s World Cup squad, but fitness and performance issues disrupted those plans. Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro told Get French Football News that selling Pogba “could” happen this summer, citing the club’s need to manage expectations and physical and technical progression week by week, as well as wage considerations under DNCG regulations. The article adds Pogba reportedly earns below £44,000 per week at Monaco, compared with £290,000 per week in his second spell at Manchester United. Scuro said decisions will depend on performance, and Pogba expressed emotion when signing, describing his return as a second chance.
