Sesame, the conversational AI startup from Oculus founders, launches its iOS app

Sesame’s public preview of its iOS app signals a shift toward slower, more contextual AI conversations. The startup, founded by Oculus veterans and other ex-VR executives, released four agents—Maya, Miles, Simone, and Charlie—each with a distinct voice and memory. The app combines fast search and image-result cards with notes, a texting mode, and deep-dive capabilities, plus an incognito option that keeps memory private. Sesame says it will add agentic actions later, moving beyond chatbots toward proactive assistants. The iOS app is available in 39 countries, currently free with a possible sign-up waitlist, and the team envisions intelligent eyewear launching in 2027.
