Not a Cent Off at Apple, Amazon Drops the AirPods Max 2 to Its All-Time Low
Apple is not discounting the AirPods Max on its own store, but Amazon is cutting the AirPods Max 2 to an all-time low just under $100 below the previous record. The second-generation model launched at $549, and Amazon has dropped it to $399, without requiring Prime membership. The promotion applies to all Amazon customers. The AirPods Max 2 are powered by Apple’s H2 chip, and the article says active noise cancellation is 1.5 times more effective than the first generation, referencing the IEC 60268-24 standard. Features include Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, and Live Translation via Apple Intelligence, which requires iOS 26.4 and an iPhone compatible with Apple Intelligence and is currently in beta. The headphones also add lossless USB-C audio, Personalized Spatial Audio, and a rated 20-hour battery life with ANC and Spatial Audio enabled.
