Not Palantir. Not SoundHound AI. This Software Specialist Could Be the Biggest Winner of the AI Productivity Boom
Demand for AI software is accelerating, with Gartner projecting a 60% increase in spending this year to $453 billion, rising to more than $638 billion next year (+41%). A Morgan Stanley report cited earlier this year links using AI for at least a year with an 11.5% productivity gain. While enterprise AI vendors like Palantir and SoundHound have grown, their stocks have lagged in 2026—down 3% for Palantir and 29% for SoundHound. Cloud communications provider Twilio stands out, up 57% in 2026, after releasing Q2 results on Aug. 6. Twilio’s revenue rose 22% year over year to $1.5 billion, with organic revenue up 17%, and non-GAAP EPS of $1.47 (+23%). Twilio’s AI tools—now extending beyond core APIs into predictive behavior, AI agents, conversational solutions, workflow automation, and security—are driving wins including an eight-figure deal and a seven-figure agreement.
