Novo CEO breaks silence after cyberattack: Everything points to a new hacker group

Novo Nordisk’s CEO Mike Doustdar broke a period of silence after an Australian police move connected to the hacker group TeamPCP. According to a comment shared with Ingeniøren, Novo Nordisk said it was not involved in the case in Australia but noted it had been affected earlier this year by a cybersecurity incident. TeamPCP has been linked to the global supply-chain attack “Mini Shai-Hulud” targeting TanStack on 11 May 2026, and to compromising at least 3,800 code repositories on Microsoft-owned GitHub. Australian Federal Police confirmed arrests of Ruben Thomson (21) and another 23-year-old. Experts questioned why Novo chose to comment.
