Person shot at DeKalb County gas station, police say. A shooting occurred at a Chevron gas station located at 2038 South Stone Mountain Lithonia Road in DeKalb County, Atlanta. Witnesses described a man with a machete who charged at another man, forcing him into a nearby restaurant, then began hacking at a car’s mirrors. The second man returned from the restaurant, was charged again, and then shot the machete-wielding suspect. The wounded individual was transported to a hospital. Police indicated the case is developing and that further information would be released as investigations continue.
