PNC opens applications for internal positions

The People’s National Congress (PNC) has opened applications for party members seeking to contest internal roles at its Congress, scheduled for 15–18 next month. Speaking at a press conference, spokesperson Mohamed Firuzul Abdulla Khaleel said submissions will be accepted from the 1st to the 8th of next month through a digital portal, with a dedicated call center created at launch. During the congress, officials will be elected to the governing council as outlined by the party constitution: six vice presidents (plus automatic seats for the country’s vice president if in power and the PNC Parliamentary Group leader) and 18 council members, including seven youth and 10 women’s-seat representatives.
