Putin turns a half-hour call with European leaders into a 90-minute history lecture. Trump says a three-way summit could happen 'very soon.' -- Meduza

U.S. President Donald Trump said a trilateral summit involving Vladimir Putin, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the United States could happen “very soon,” after he was asked about European leaders’ call with the Russian president. Trump expects “a lot of progress,” but gave no location or timing. Ukrainian President Zelensky said discussions may be held in Abu Dhabi, following a call between Finland’s President Alexander Stubb and Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre with Putin. Zelensky said the talks are expected to cover de-escalation steps in the energy sector and at sea, plus prisoner exchange and returns. Meduza/FT reports the call ran nearly 90 minutes instead of 30, with Putin lecturing on Slavic history. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen criticized the initiative’s lack of EU coordination.
