Qantas Amadeus Data Breach: 5 Airlines Probe [2026]
xCruzo Brief
Qantas is handling a cyber incident involving Amadeus, the global travel-technology provider behind a large share of airline reservations. The breach story surfaced on 2 November 2026, but details are still limited. Qantas says it was told by Amadeus that someone gained unauthorised access to one of its systems, and the issue was contained in September. Qantas is now assessing what that means for its bookings, while insisting its own systems and databases are secure. The airline has informed Australia’s Cyber Security Centre and the Office of National Cyber Security. Reports name Japan Airlines, ANA, Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, Asiana, and possibly Malaysia Airlines, but Qantas has not confirmed the latter.
