Raises $34M after pivoting to AI CAD software
xCruzo Brief
Mach9 Robotics has raised a $34 million Series A after pivoting from building inspection hardware to developing AI-powered computer-aided design (CAD) software. Founded in 2021 by Alex Baikovitz, the company initially focused on giving civil engineers faster, cheaper ways to turn laser scanner and image-capture outputs into usable survey data. Baikovitz says the real bottleneck wasn’t the hardware but the workflows needed to convert large data volumes into actionable information. Mach9’s private beta has attracted nearly 100 customers and has been used on more than 2,500 projects. The round was co-led by First Round Capital and Bessemer Venture Partners, with investors including Prudence and Quiet Capital.
