Rising Dem Star Scorches Trump With 1-Word Description After AI Meltdown
Sen. Jon Ossoff criticized President Donald Trump’s stance on artificial intelligence, saying Trump is “compromised” after aggressive remarks against regulating the technology. Ossoff made the comments Monday on MSNBC’s “The Last Word,” hosted by Lawrence O’Donnell, and warned that Trump’s position is affected by business ties to AI. He pointed to 1789 Capital, a venture firm in which Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., is a partner, noting the firm has invested heavily in AI labs and data centers. Ossoff said this creates a financial stake for the first family and therefore compromises the president. The remarks referenced Trump’s earlier Monday posts expressing skepticism about AI regulation amid broader calls from tech leaders for guardrails.
