Samsung Pulls Plug on AR Doodle and Quick Measure as Galaxy App Purge Continues

Samsung is ending support for two augmented reality apps—AR Doodle and Quick Measure—as part of a broader cleanup of first-party software on Galaxy devices. The apps will stop accepting new downloads and updates on December 31, 2026. Samsung says improved versions will arrive later, but the change follows other cancellations, and installed users can keep using the apps for now, with the warning that features may stop working over time. Newer phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8, already show no support. The company’s notices surfaced through updated Galaxy Store listings, first spotted on September 7. AR Doodle lets users draw in midair using the camera view and works with the S Pen on compatible models; Quick Measure uses depth sensors to estimate distances and dimensions.
