Search commander: Questions remain over Noah Donohoe disappearance

The commander who led the search for Noah Donohoe in June 2020 says his mother’s fight for answers will continue, despite conclusions reached at the inquest into the schoolboy’s death. On Tuesday, the jury found the Department for Infrastructure failed to identify a hazard at the water tunnel where Noah was found dead and did not provide a warning sign. It also said the department and the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) did not contribute to Noah’s death, while listing 13 failings by police during the investigation. Sean McCarry said the inquest was detailed and addressed “some” questions, but not all. Fiona Donohoe said she and her son were failed by both bodies.
