South Korean Agencies Announce Director-Level Appointments and Promotions
South Korean agencies announced director-level appointments and promotions, covering maritime safety, competition oversight, personal data protection, tax administration, and the fire service. The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries named Kim Dong-hee as director of the Busan Regional Maritime Safety and Tribunal at director-general level. The Korea Fair Trade Commission promoted Park Jong-bae to head of the Seoul Regional Fair Trade Office, while the Personal Information Protection Commission promoted Shin Min-pil to head of the Pan-Governmental MyData Promotion Team. In tax administration, the National Tax Service appointed Shim Wook-ki to head the Daejeon Regional Tax Office, Yang Cheol-ho to lead the Gwangju office, and Park Jeong-yeol to head Daegu. It also named regional and departmental leaders at senior civil service grade roles and director positions, including Choi Young-jun as director in tax-collection and legal affairs. For fire services, the National Fire Agency promoted Jin Hyeong-min to fire commissioner head of the Jeonbuk province headquarters and transferred Park Geun-oh to head the North Chungcheong headquarters.
