The Acer Swift Air 14 is a budget laptop redefined

Acer is launching the Swift Air 14 as a lower-cost alternative in the wave of compact laptops priced roughly between £700 and £900, aiming to match Apple’s MacBook Neo entry-level price with an announced starting cost of £699. The design uses aluminium for frequently touched areas and offers colors including sage green, frost blue, blossom pink, and lilac purple. Acer lists weight at 1.2kg; a review unit measured 1.07kg. Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports and one 5Gbps USB-A plus a 3.5mm audio jack; both USB-C ports support DisplayPort Alt Mode. The configuration features an Intel AX211 Wi‑Fi 6E card, soldered RAM and WLAN, a user-replaceable 2280 SSD and battery, plus a 512GB SanDisk drive with fast tested sequential speeds.
