The iPhone 15 really still worth it in 2026?

The iPhone 15 may have stopped being sold by Apple, but the 2023 handset remains a viable option in 2026 for buyers weighing features against price. Announced Sept. 12, 2023 and released Sept. 22, it was discontinued Sept. 9, 2025 ahead of the iPhone 17 lineup. Key upgrades included Apple’s switch from Lightning to USB-C, the Dynamic Island on the base model, and a 48MP main camera with an added 2x telephoto option. It launched at $799 and Apple cut it to $699 in September 2024. The phone has a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED (2556x1179), IP68 rating, 20 hours of video playback, and satellite Emergency SOS and Roadside Assistance for two years after activation of an iPhone 14/15+ model. It does not support Apple Intelligence.
