Tuchel wants England to use World Cup pain as fuel after Croatia thrashing

Thomas Tuchel says England can turn their World Cup disappointment into motivation after producing a record-breaking 7-0 Nations League win over Croatia in Rijeka on Saturday. The result was England’s biggest away score against Croatia, becoming the first team to net five or more goals away versus their opponents. Harry Kane scored twice, with Bukayo Saka also netting twice, alongside Jude Bellingham, Anthony Gordon and Morgan Rogers. Tuchel pointed to a late semi-final loss to Argentina at the 2026 World Cup as part of the emotional backdrop, saying the squad will “always have a scar” but can move forward with that pain.
