Verstappen on Max vs 100: 'Embarrassing' to lose

Max Verstappen said it would be “quite embarrassing” if he is not the quickest on track when he races against 100 rival go-karters at an event at Silverstone on Wednesday. The Red Bull driver will start from the back of a 101-kart grid and aims to pass all other competitors within 30 laps. The “100” include international participants such as other Red Bull athletes, content creators, journalists and fans, all using identical karts for fairness. After being overtaken, competitors are eliminated and sent back to the pits. Verstappen said he hasn’t seen the full list of rivals but expects to come out on top and plans to “go with the flow,” drawing on experience. He also noted he hasn’t driven a “proper go-kart” since 2016 and prefers GT cars.
