His son, Jackson Bryce, said the actor was undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer, and that the disease later spread to his brain, leaving it difficult for him. Jackson shared that Bryce’s care included radiation, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy, and posted comments describing his father’s determination even in the final days. Born in January 1958 in New York City, Bryce followed his father Ed Bryce into acting and built a career across several decades. In addition to “As The World Turns,” he appeared in series including Murphy Brown, The Golden Girls, Law & Order: SVU, Sex and the City, Homeland, Blue Bloods, and The Blacklist. He is survived by his wife, actress Jodi Stevens, and their son, Jackson.
