White House TV pool appears to be back in operation, but CNN's media analyst calls situation 'fluid'

The U.S. White House TV video pool appeared to resume on Friday, but CNN’s media analyst cautioned that the situation “remains fluid.” On Thursday, a judge temporarily overturned a ban that had barred CNN, MS NOW and Politico for three days; however, the judge’s ruling did not directly cover the pool itself. The pool involves five major U.S. broadcast outlets that take turns filming and sharing video. After the ban, the other four outlets declined to participate until CNN was reinstated. CNN did not comment directly, pointing instead to its editorial coverage. Brian Stelter said the major networks plan to restart pool coverage of Trump events Friday, including a CNN assignment at the National Archives.
