You can now customize Siri's pace and expressivity in the latest iOS 27 beta, giving early access to new voice controls for Apple’s AI assistant. In iOS 27 beta 3, released today, Apple enabled “Pace” and “Expressivity” controls that had been marked “Coming soon” in earlier iOS 27 developer beta builds. The changes are part of Apple’s effort to make Siri feel more natural and personalized as it rebuilds the assistant around generative AI. Siri will also allow beta testers to switch among voices with different accents and use sliders to adjust how quickly it speaks and how much emotion it conveys. Apple notes that as users adjust settings, Siri practices common phrases such as “You have one new message.” Other iOS 27 beta 3 updates include an updated Reminders app icon.
