Airshow China to Showcase Sea-Based Rocket Net Recovery System for First Time

Airshow China will feature China Aerospace Science and Technology’s sea-based net recovery system for carrier rockets in public for the first time. Spokesperson Hao Changfeng said the CZ-10B sea-based net recovery system will debut at the 16th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, taking place Dec. 7–13 at the Zhuhai International Airshow Center in Guangdong, southern China. CASC will also display multiple launch vehicles, including the CZ-12B and CZ-9B, and a 1:1 high-fidelity replica of a heavy-lift rocket’s first-stage engine. The CZ-10B and system completed the world’s first sea-based net capture and recovery of a first stage in July.
