Cam Jurgens trade grades: Ravens make risky play to plug hole; Eagles secure good value

The Philadelphia Eagles traded center Cam Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens for a 2027 fifth-rounder and a 2028 second-round selection. The move reflects urgency in Baltimore’s center situation after the Las Vegas Raiders reset the market for Tyler Lindenbaum in free agency. Danny Pinter tore his patellar tendon in August, and backups Jovaughn Gwyn (fibula) and Ethan Pocic (knee) were placed on injured reserve. Vega Ioane shifted to center, but the Ravens still needed depth. Baltimore sent the price because Jurgens has been valued even amid back issues and is currently in the concussion protocol after reporting symptoms Monday; he signed a four-year, $68 million extension in 2025. The Eagles, dealing with coaching and personnel transitions, moved Jurgens as they switched to a zone-blocking scheme under Chris Kuper after Lane Johnson retired.
