Chiefs Injury Roundup: Brashard Smith Placed on IR, Latest on L'Jarius Sneed
The Kansas City Chiefs made several injury-related roster moves ahead of their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Brashard Smith, who missed time with a hamstring injury, was placed on injured reserve, meaning he will not play against Seattle or upcoming games versus the Denver Broncos, New York Jets, and Atlanta Falcons. To fill his spot on the 53-man roster, Kansas City elevated halfback Jadyn Ott from the practice squad; Ott returned five kicks and scored a kick-return touchdown in 2023. Wide receiver Justin Watson was elevated again for the second straight week. Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed did not travel Saturday due to a personal matter and a knee issue, and is listed as questionable. Linebacker Cooper McDonald returned from IR and is expected to play after previously being placed on IR following a Week 1 knee injury.
