Decatur FC snaps losing streak with dominant 4-1 win over Chattanooga FC
Decatur FC ended a run of non-wins with a commanding 4-1 victory over Chattanooga FC on Tuesday night at Decatur High School. The win came after the club had started its first-ever losing streakless stretch of the franchise, including a first shutout in a setback against Georgia Impact. Decatur coach Campbell Chapman praised the response and the team’s home performance. Defender Jazmin Ferguson opened the scoring from a corner, and Dylan Driver added a second goal after being fouled for a penalty kick. Allie Planeaux was central to Decatur’s pressure before Ava Maldonado and Hayden Barnett combined late in the first half. Chattanooga pulled one back when Aniyah Collier scored, but Decatur secured the fourth goal with a fourth different scorer. Next, Decatur hosts GA Impact on Saturday, June 27, at 7 p.m.
