Diversions as Swindon's Blagrove Roundabout to close for three weeks

Swindon’s Blagrove Roundabout will close overnight for three weeks to allow resurfacing work on a key junction linking western Swindon with Junction 16 of the M4. The closure runs from 19:00 BST to 06:00, starting Monday, with the roundabout remaining open during daytime hours to minimise disruption. Swindon Borough Council states the resurfacing will reduce the need for frequent short-term repairs and is part of a £30 million, four-year investment in road repairs funded by government. More than 30 roads are set to be resurfaced in 2026/27 under the Local Transport Plan. Traffic will be diverted overnight, and drivers are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys.
