DroneShield expands urban airspace security ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026 | iTWire
DroneShield is rolling out additional urban airspace security ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026 through a regional multi-site deployment focused on persistent low-altitude awareness across the Kansas City metropolitan area. The program is led by the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) and supported by Airspace Link’s AirHub® Portal and other public safety stakeholders. It integrates operational airspace coordination, distributed radar coverage, RF-based drone detection, and situational awareness tools to enable coordinated security responses across jurisdictions. DroneShield’s role is positioned as the primary detection and threat-response layer, delivering RF sensing, sensor fusion, coordination workflows, and counter-UAS capabilities. The deployment targets complex urban settings where authorized drone activity, public safety aviation, media coverage, and potential unauthorized drones could occur at the same time.
