Essex woman expelled from school at 14 is now a millionaire

Charlotte Body, 52, from Southend, Essex, was expelled from school at 14 after a “fashion business” she ran from her locker and the local pub, earning about £25 a week in cash. She left with just one GCSE and says dyslexia affected her school life, though she also admits to being “naughty” and rarely attending lessons. After boarding school, she left at 16 for work, launched her own magazine at 28, and “became a millionaire” by 30. Later she semi-retired at 40, went through divorce and perimenopause, then returned via Pause Live, branding it as the UK’s largest women’s health event.
