Michigan State entered with a deep NHL-drafted roster.
Elsewhere, Minnesota swept No. 3 North Dakota 5-3 at Mariucci Arena, closing with four straight unanswered goals. Freshman Wyatt Cullen paced the Gophers with a hat trick and an assist, his first three collegiate goals. He’s also the 10th overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft. Minnesota’s first sweep against North Dakota in 15 years came with 17 blocked shots and third-period saves from Melvin Strahl.
