Four partnerships leads named in Jersey schools overhaul

Four partnerships leads have been appointed as part of a Jersey schools overhaul aimed at addressing inconsistent support for children and gaps in leadership, according to the government. The new partnership system follows feedback from schools and an independent review published in 2025 focused on special educational needs. The report cited strong inclusive practices in some areas but found a need for clearer strategy, more consistent leadership and better joined-up working across the island. The Children, Young People, Education and Skills Department says the four School Partnership Leads will begin overseeing the changes in September. The program will run as a two-year trial to test the new approach.
