Giants trade Josh Ezeudu to Chiefs for 2028 seventh-round pick
xCruzo Brief
The Giants traded guard Josh Ezeudu to the Chiefs for a 2028 seventh-round draft pick, about five months later than expected. The deal is the second time in a week they’ve acquired a draft pick for a backup offensive lineman around the roster bubble. With Sunday’s cut to 53 players, New York likely would have needed to keep 10 offensive linemen to survive. Ezeudu, 27, a 2022 third-round pick, didn’t play a snap last season despite being available after injured reserve. He re-signed a one-year contract worth $1.145 million, but was added $80,000 in dead cap space. Head coach John Harbaugh later said Ezeudu was day to day after being “kicked in the back of the leg” Saturday versus the Dolphins.
