Hoi Hoi Hoi': Kolkata techie's Bengali Puja banger, 3 million views and copyright suit
xCruzo Brief
A Kolkata IT professional says his Durga Puja song, “Dugga Ma Asche,” became a 2026 anthem after going viral on Meta. Rahit Saha, 27—who posts under “Infra”—wrote much of the track on the move during Metro rides and bike trips in 2025, and first uploaded it as a YouTube audio clip that year. The song later surged ahead of the 2026 season, with more than 3 million reels and short videos using it, and over 3 million views on his YouTube music video after launch. A copyright takedown led to it being removed from Spotify before being restored within two or three days. Saha also credits his mother, Soma Saha, for changing “Dugga Thakur” to “Dugga Ma.”
