Josh Grisetti, Who Starred In 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' And On Broadway, Dead At 44
Broadway actor Josh Grisetti, known for roles on “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and the musicals “Something Rotten!” and “It Shoulda Been You,” died Friday, July 10, at age 44. Co-stars Rob McClure and Sierra Boggess confirmed that Grisetti took his own life, and his agent Rick Ferrari later verified the death to Entertainment Weekly. McClure described being “shattered,” noting Grisetti’s wife, Mackenzie Grisetti, and their family, and recalled that Grisetti had served as his best man. Boggess echoed the grief in an Instagram post, saying she loved Grisetti’s humor and the way he engaged with the world. Multiple reports connect the timing to days after Grisetti said he was stepping away from directing “Legally Blonde: The Musical” for Italy’s Trentino Music Festival due to personal reasons. Grisetti, a native of Washington, D.C., had studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts and later graduated in 2004 from Boston Conservatory with a bachelor’s in musical theater.
