Minky Couture Week 9 high school star athletes of the week

Hurricane’s 7-0 start has been powered largely by junior Titan Borchardt, who has become a key multi-position weapon. Coach Jerry Cowan compared him to a “Swiss Army knife,” noting Borchardt plays three offensive roles and can create big plays anytime he touches the ball. In Hurricane’s 38-21 win over Pine View, he carried 11 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns, adding two receptions for 57 yards. Other featured standouts include volleyball’s Lei’lani Saleapaga of Hunter, girls soccer’s Myka Page of Bountiful (19 goals, 12 assists), and cross-country runner Jeff Hazard of Northridge, winner at the Valhalla Invitational.
