One Player That Has To Show Up at Detroit Lions Minicamp

As the Detroit Lions prepare for mandatory minicamp, Levi Onwuzurike is the focal point of the week. The team just finished its final week of organized team activities and will assess him as players return for the summer session. Onwuzurike, a 2021 second-round pick, showed promise early but missed time after back troubles, then required ACL repair surgery last offseason. In 2024 he posted 28 tackles, 1.5 sacks and ranked among the top 30 interior defenders per Pro Football Focus, earning a one-year extension worth up to $5.5 million. Detroit added Tyler Lacy, Skyler Gill-Howard and Aidan Keanaaina, tightening the interior rotation behind Alim McNeill and Tyleik Williams.
