PSC sets public comment hearing for Mon Power energy projects

The Public Service Commission of West Virginia has scheduled a public comment hearing focused on proposed Mon Power and Potomac Edison energy projects, including a major $2.48 billion natural gas plant. The hearing will cover the Monongalia County gas-fired power plant as well as three separate solar energy projects across West Virginia. It is set for 5:30 p.m. on July 15 in the PSC hearing room in Charleston, at 201 Brooks St. The commission said the session will be available both in person and virtually, enabling broader participation from interested stakeholders and residents. The proceeding is intended to gather public input as the utility proposals move through the regulatory process.
