The 5th Asia International Youth Film Festival (AIYFF) concluded in Hong Kong

The 5th Asia International Youth Film Festival (AIYFF) concluded with its Golden Orchid Awards ceremony on July 30, 2026 at Asia Television in Hong Kong. Mainland Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming won Best Actor for “Mostly Sunny.” The Best Actress honor was split between Yu Wenwen for “Operation BLACK-OPS” and Jiang Yiyang for “West By Northwest.” The event brought together hundreds of film professionals and media figures, including Huo Tingxiao of the China Film Association and director Hu Mei. “Dear You” won Best Picture and Best Screenplay, while “Operation BLACK-OPS” took Best Director for Zhong Shaoxiong and Best Newcomer Team awards. Multiple categories also recognized documentaries, series, short films, and technical work, including Best Sound Design for “No More Bets.”
